Virginia HEPC is a public health initiative launched within the telemedicine department at the University of Virginia, funded by the Virginia Department of Health. The program’s mission was to educate, connect, and build community around Hepatitis C care across the Commonwealth.
Our Approach
Dorazio Communications provided comprehensive strategic and creative support as the initiative evolved, including its transition to Sentara Martha Jefferson. Our work focused on establishing a clear, approachable identity capable of supporting education, outreach, and patient connection across multiple channels.
We developed the program name, brand identity, and a suite of supporting materials, including print and digital collateral, event photography, and an e-newsletter designed to foster trust, awareness, and community engagement.
Brand Identity
The Virginia HEPC logo concept draws inspiration from geography—using the shape of a river turned just enough to resemble the outline of Virginia. This subtle visual metaphor reinforces place, connection, and flow, while bold color and typography ensure clarity and visibility in public health communications.
The identity system was designed to be accessible, recognizable, and adaptable across clinical, educational, and digital environments.
